Global Shipping Service Alerts: Middle East Disruptions and International Delivery Delays

Ongoing geopolitical tensions and operational disruptions in the Middle East are affecting the global logistics network. Several carriers and postal partners have announced temporary suspensions and delivery delays to specific destinations.

If you're shipping internationally, especially to the Middle East and surrounding regions, it is important to stay informed about these temporary service changes.

Countries With Temporary Service Suspension

Due to operational disruptions in the Middle East, APC Postal Logistics has temporarily suspended all services effective March 4, 2026, until further notice to the following countries:

  • Djibouti
  • Eritrea
  • Iran
  • Iraq
  • Libya

Additionally, PostNL have reported that deliveries to several destinations are currently not possible due to regional instability and transportation disruptions:

  • Afghanistan
  • Bahrain
  • Iran
  • Kuwait
  • Lebanon
  • Qatar
  • United Arab Emirates

Shipments made and destined for these locations are on hold. Chances of returns or delays are also expected until logistics operations resume safely.

Countries Experiencing Delivery Delays

While some destinations remain serviceable. However, you should expect shipping delays due to limited transportation capacity and regional disruptions:

  • Algeria
  • Armenia
  • Israel (delays of up to 6 weeks)
  • Madagascar
  • Oman
  • Pakistan
  • Seychelles
  • Tanzania

Limited transport capacity has also resulted in approximately a 5-day delay for some shipments to certain Middle Eastern destinations when service is available.

Other International Delivery Days

Beyond the Middle East, logistics disruptions and operational backlogs are also impacting other regions:

  • Peru - Delivery delays of up to 3 weeks due to a backlog with PostNL
  • Cyprus - Delays of approximately 5 days caused by limited transportation capacity

Carrier Operations and Monitoring

Major logistics providers, including UPS, are actively monitoring the situation in the Middle East and implementing contingency plans to maintain safe and efficient operations. However, shipment timelines may continue to fluctuate as conditions evolve.

Due to these circumstances, carrier service guarantees may not apply to shipments affected by the current disruptions.

What Shippers Should Do

If you are planning to send parcels to affected destinations, consider the following:

  • Verify destination availability before creating a shipment
  • Expect possible delays or temporary delivery suspensions
  • Monitor tracking updates closely
  • Contact your shipping provider for guidance on affected shipments
